Build a body capable of carrying me wherever I want to go.
My body is the vehicle through which I experience everything else.
I don’t want fitness to be about looking a certain way or chasing numbers for their own sake. I want to become strong, mobile, energetic, and capable enough to handle whatever life puts in front of me.
I’m still figuring out exactly what that looks like. For now, I’m training, experimenting, and paying attention to what works.
🥗 Nutrition
I’m building a nutrition and weekly meal-planning system that makes eating well simpler and more sustainable.
The goal isn’t a perfect diet.
It’s to build a system that helps me consistently:
Eat enough protein and quality food
Plan meals before I’m hungry
Make grocery shopping easier
Reduce unnecessary decision-making
Enjoy the food I’m eating
Build something useful enough to eventually help other people do the same
Current project: Building the weekly meal-planning system.
🤸 Calisthenics
I’ve been fascinated by calisthenics for years, especially handstands, handstand push-ups, and eventually pressing into a handstand.
A friend showed me how to do a handstand more than ten years ago, and I’ve wanted to be able to do it ever since.
I’m still chasing it.
The goal: Become genuinely capable of controlling my own body.
Current pursuits:
Handstand
Press to handstand
Handstand push-up
Pull-ups
Core strength
General bodyweight strength
One day I will. Until then, I practice.
🏃 Cardio
I want to become someone who can go places under my own power.
The long-term goal is to run a marathon.
I don’t need to run one tomorrow.
This section is about building the engine to eventually get there:
Building a consistent running habit
Improving cardiovascular fitness
Increasing distance gradually
Learning how to train intelligently
Eventually completing a marathon
Long-term goal: 🏅 Marathon
🧘 Mobility
Years of sitting, gaming, and generally living a sedentary lifestyle taught me something:
If I don’t maintain my body, it doesn’t maintain itself.
I’m working on rebuilding strength and mobility that I’ve neglected and creating a body that feels good to live in.
I’m especially interested in:
Ankles
Hips
Psoas
Shoulders
Spine
Squatting
General range of motion
The goal isn’t to become flexible for the sake of flexibility.
It’s to move well enough that physical limitations don’t unnecessarily dictate what I can do.
🧭 What I’m Working Toward
I want to become someone who can say:
“My body doesn’t limit my life. It enables it.”
Strong enough to climb.
Mobile enough to move.
Fit enough to explore.
Healthy enough to keep going.
Capable enough to learn something ridiculous just because I want to.
Current Principle
Train for the life you want to live.
I’m not training just to become better at exercising.
I’m training so I can travel, adventure, play, create, explore, and grow old with a body that still wants to participate.
